Here are the two tracks you want to listen to as examples of my work

EXAMPLE 1
‘The King’ – live recording at The Welsh Chapel, spring 2024 (Draft mix, unmastered – solo performance: me on bass and vocals)
I have included this example to demonstrate my style and ability as a writer and performer. When I record the EP the production will be totally different; glitchy electronics, spacey harmonies, brass and strings.
But for now this is the only ‘proper’ recording I have of the new material, so, enjoy!

EXAMPLE 2
‘Team Eve’ – recorded on my phone at my first ever rehearsal with Faye Thompson (sax and effects), Ayman Sinada (drums), and me (bass and vocals)
This shows a bit more of my writing style, a bit more of the direction of travel for the sound for this project. I have been gigging versions of these tracks with all different players on all different instruments, but only ever two at a time. The recording will be so varied from track to track featuring different combos of these players, as well as the input of different producers. It’s so hard to show you before I make it! But Faye and Ayman will be on it for sure. This recording includes mistakes, experiments. We’re just trying stuff, totally unarranged, and we’re all concentrating on working it out together rather than performance and delivery. But if this was the first time in the room together, imagine how the record will be!
